Who does DGS serve?

DGS is a neighborhood innovation school serving the Southeast Denver community. If you live in our boundary, and you are entering kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th, or 7th grade, you will automatically be enrolled in DGS. However, we encourage you to visit the school to make sure you qualify as boudary student or you can click here to see a map of the DGS boundary.

When can I fill out the registration packets for 2012-2013?

DGS will follow the district's choice in process for the next academic year.

How to I enroll my 4 year old in the Early Childhood program?

Early Childhood (Link to Application below) Denver Green School is excited to welcome 4-year-olds to our preschool program! Whether you live in our boundary or outside our boundary, enrollment for preschool is not automatic; it is handled by the district Early Childhood office. In order to enroll, you must apply first and the Early Childhood office will be in contact with you. Click here to download an application for your 4-year-old. 

What is the choice process for my child?

• First round of choice will be in January 2012; DGS will follow the district's choice in process for 2012-2013.
• Second Round of Choice opens March 1st 2012 and continues through August. The second round of the choice is first come first serve.

• For all questions related to DPS choice process and policies, please review the DPS choice website at http://soco.dpsk12.org/

• Be sure to bring the following documents when you turn in your application:
  1. Original or copy of child’s birth certificate
  2. Child’s current immunization record
  3. Proof of your address - utility bill, license, copy of lease etc.
  4. If applying for tuition assistance for ECE or full-day kindergarten, bring one month of consecutive pay stubs or proof of receipt of public assistance (e.g. TANF, Food Stamps, Medicaid etc.)
     Note: If transferring from another school after kindergarten, your child’s academic records from their current school
