EARTH WEEK IS FAST APPROACHING and the PTA is leading the way
The DGS Students, Teachers, Partners and PTA are working hard to finalize plans for this year's Earth Week Celebration. Many events are in the works, all of which are planned to help us celebrate our school and support sustainability. Like last year, we will be hosting a Bigger and Better Community Day and the UpCycle Parade. Stay tuned as more information and details are announced. There will be a link in future Thursday folders to the Earth Week website that will contain all of the information. If you are interested in volunteering for any of the events, please click here or email Susan Marshall at PTA_President@denvergreenschool.org.
BOX TOP DRIVE - EVERYONE CAN FIND FIVE!

Penny Harvest Fundraiser
DGS 3rd grade students will be harvesting pennies from now until the end of February to give back to our community. Your student can bring in pennies or spare change to his or her homeroom teacher to contribute to the harvest! After fundraising, DGS students will democratically decide to which causes they will donate the money. Please support this student led initiative by donating all the pennies that you can.
JUMP ROPE FOR HEART COMING IN FEBRUARY:
We will be celebrating "Jump Rope for Heart" on February 16 during specials time. Each class will spend 15 minutes with each specials teacher who will guide the students through a heart health-related activity. This is a great opportunity for us to celebrate healthy living at DGS and a great way for us to raise a little bit of money for the American Heart Association. If you need a registration form or have any questions, see Mr. Parker.
